Modern Vietnam is not all street food and traditional cafes - the restaurant and bar scene in Saigon is as vibrant and eclectic as in Melbourne! At Little Brother, we want to make you feel you’re in a modern Saigon bar/restaurant – tasty food, great drinks with an Asian touch, and a hip but relaxed atmosphere.
In 2015, Little Brother opened and brought Vietnamese lunchtime street food to our part of Little Collins Street. Quang, his chef Jimmy and the front-of-house team soon had a loyal following who loved the “simple, tasty and fast” mantra they worked to. In August 2018, we bought the business from Quang, working with Jimmy and the team to keep the great offering they had built, while gradually adding some new items and our own personal touch.
In late December 2018 we closed for 5 weeks for major renovations, re-opening in late January.
Now you can enjoy the two sides of Little Brother – our incredibly popular lunch menu, renowned for its tasty street food favourites and our super-fast service, is still there. Or come in the evening, when our new bar is open, the pace is more relaxed and the evening chef’s menu adds a range of bar snacks, along with a full dinner menu – all showcasing the freshness, flavour and lightness of Vietnamese cooking.
